[On December 24th, Nico will find a box with the Creatures & Chimeras logo on top on his doorstep. Upon closer inspection, it's clear that the box was once a plain brown, with logo added after the fact. There's a lack of shipping label, so it must have been hand-delivered at some point.

Opening the box, Nico will find three items inside:

The first is a custom dice tower.

The second is a custom DM screen.

The third is a short note that reads:

I heard that this stuff would be right up your alley. Enjoy, and make sure you give your players hell.

Happy holidays Nico.

The note is signed with a crescent moon wearing a Santa hat. It isn't the best drawing, but a strong attempt was made.]

She speaks quietly, almost a whisper, her expression stricken and lip wavering when she pauses between words.

"Martin, you--you don't have to talk, alright? You can just nod! Or...shake your head. Anything like that. Just--just more than just...looking at me. Like that. Please? Can you tell me you understand me somehow? Even a little bit? Please?"

Her voice gets more strained and desperate to keep level as she goes, eyes welling up. The view shakes a little when she reaches forward.

"Please? Please, please tell me what he said to you. What Alexander said. Please? Is it why you won't talk? Won't move? You can tell me! Please. Please, Martin, you have to talk to me. You don't have to talk to, to any other Darkovs but me!" Her eyes wince. "And...and Grandfather, yes, but. Not Alex. Not anything else. Please?"

Her voice cracks.

"Please tell me...what you need me to do. To fix you! So they don't send you away. I don't want you to go away! Alright? Please...!"

“HE’S LEFT ME, ABANDONED ME!” Shouting came from a distraught Lusamine in front of her children. This wasn’t the first time Gladion had heard or seen his mother have a fit over something, but it had been one of the worse ones so far. He stared in horror as he saw an even uglier side of his mother as he held onto Lillie’s hand tightly. Protectively. They had both been victims to their mother’s shouting and fits over not being proper before, about embarrassing her, although he always suspected Lillie had it happen more.

Gladion kept a protective grasp on his sister’s hand as their mother kept up with her yelling and sobbing, as Wicke had come in to check what the yelling had been about, eyes wide and immediately ushering the children out to where Pokemon were looked after. To where it was calmer.

“What’s going on Miss Wicke? Why is Mother acting like this?” Gladion finally pipes up when they’re away from the shouting, still protectively holding his little sister’s hand as if she would disappear if he let go of her.

“There was an accident while your parents were working,” There’s a pause and the woman sighs while pulling the children into a hug, attempting to keep a level voice. “Your father disappeared. We don’t know where he is or what exactly happened, all we know is that he disappeared from what Branch Chief Faba said.”
